Residential Project

Georgian House

The Brief

Embracing the rich history of the interior

This client was looking for the interiors to embrace the faded grandeur of this family home which had been passed down though many generations, but include a fresher input of their own individual style choices. The dining room, drawing room, master bedroom, study and a guest bedroom were included in the project.

Finished Project

Effortless elegance

Ever conscious of the wonderful age of this home and the period features, Melissa suggested a combination of faded plain coloured linens combined with sumptuous traditional florals to create a soft welcoming effect. All curtain poles were made-to-measure with hand finished paint effects, creating shades and tones to blend seamlessly with the walls.

Upholstered pieces included drawing room button-back antique chairs where the fabric featured oriental style embroidery to seamlessly blend with the families treasured china collection and objects d’Art.

The overall effect was an effortless elegance of textures and colours which looked like it had always been there!

"Great to work with, not only terms of efficiency but also in terms of sensitivity to an old house and our taste"
