Melissa Hutcheson Interiors specialise in both hand-sewn and machine sewn finishing of all curtains, pelmets and soft furnishings, each are created in a wealth of beautiful fabrics, sourced especially for you.
Made-to-measure curtains & blinds with a choice of headings, linings and interlinings. Pleat styles include: Pencil, Goblet, French, Single, Twin or Triple Pinch, Cartridge, Euro, Wave & Eyelet to name but a few.
Challenging shapes such as Apex, large and architectural feature windows are a speciality, with tailored curtain & blinds solutions and installations. Both hard and soft pelmets are equally bespoke and beautifully sewn. Hard upholstered pelmets are lightweight and can be expertly created to follow both bay or straight windows.

Melissa specialises in creating tailored sheers and curtains to adapt to large expansive and oversized windows. Sheer fabric ensures no interruption of views or natural light, but equally provides an elegant window dressing for privacy or filtering of sunlight.
Blackout fabrics can equally be made-to- measure for bedrooms to ensure a cosier enviornment for sleeping in, and can also be useful to create an acoustic barrier where needed.

Poles and Tracks are as important as the curtains when styling a window. Made-to-measure, we can source both straight or curved poles and tracks from a wide range of respected manufacturers. Melissa specialises in both long length poles and challenging windows.

Upholstery & Cushions
Tailored to complement your room
Our team of upholsterer's make gorgeous loose and fitted covers for sofas, armchairs or ottomans as well as finely crafted cushions. There is no limit to what Melissa's experienced team of local upholsterers can cover.
Experienced in all areas of upholstery and specialists in recovering individual pieces of furniture or treasured antiques in need of a refresh or attention and repair.
Taking great pride in their work, the team are able to strip back fabrics, repair frames, replace padding and springs and recover items in fabrics of your choice. A wonderful selection of hardwearing, family-friendly beautiful fabrics can be sourced to your taste.
Pieces of furniture can be collected locally and re-upholstered.
Headboards
Expert upholsterers will create your bespoke design
Beautiful headboards make for a stunning addition and focal point to any bedroom. Enhancing a colour theme, texture or style for the rooms overall interior décor.
Wonderful upholstered shaped headboards can be handmade to a bespoke design of your choice. Headboard features can include Buttoned, Piped, Seam Edged or Plain.

Melissa’s team of fitters have many years of experience in installing a wide range of curtains, blinds, poles, tracks and pelmets.
From shaped windows, large scale windows, Apex windows and much more. Having worked alongside Melissa, the team have overcome many challenges across the varied projects they have undertaken. Fitting curtains and blinds in all types of homes from new build, period properties and crumbly stone cottages, they are professional, home conscious and take great pride in their work.
